The good news of the gospel is that, because of Jesus, our relationship with God has been restored. The gospel also shapes the way we relate to each other, especially when difficult relational circumstances threaten our fellowship with each other. This Sunday, we will begin a series on the book of Philemon called, Runaway Slave: From Useless to Useful. In it, we’ll see how the gospel shaped Paul as he faced a sticky situation confronting a church family. They’re going to need the truth of the gospel to help them through their trial, and we need it when our trials come. Please read the book of Philemon this week and ask God to prepare your heart to learn from and grow in Christ.
